The 10th Biennial Computational Techniques and Applications Conference

16-18 July 2001
University Of Queensland
Brisbane QLD 4072
Australia

A conference on aspects of computational mathematics; scientific, technical, and industrial applications; and high performance computing.

About the CTAC Meetings

CTAC is organised by the special interest group in computational techniques and applications of ANZIAM (Australia and New Zealand Applied Mathematics), the Applied Mathematics Division of the Australian Mathematical Society. These biennial meetings are organised to provide a forum for researchers working in the areas of computational mathematics and sciences and as an interface to the wider community in scientific and technical computing.

The CTAC meetings have been taking place since about 1980, and CTAC2001 is the tenth meeting in the series.

Programme

The conference program will consist of five keynote addresses by significant international and local invited speakers and three parallel sessions comprising approximately 100 contributed talks over three days from Monday 16 July to Wednesday 18 July 2001.

Brisbane River

Venue

CTAC 2001 will be held at the University Of Queensland, situated on the Brisbane River at St Lucia. It is one of the premier Universities in Australia, and was elected Australian University Of The Year in 1999. The climate in July is mild and dry and is a very attractive time of the year. It is hoped that most of the attendees will be housed at nearby Campus Colleges. A conference dinner will be held at the UQ' Staff Club overlooking the lake on Tuesday. The Staff Club will also host a welcoming cocktail party on Sunday with the opening registration desk.
